Bridge Bearing & Expansion Joint

Division07 Thermal and Moisture Protection · 07 90 00 Joint Protection

Application

Bridge Bearings: for highway bridges, railway bridges, and urban/municipal bridge structures; provide vertical support, horizontal load transfer/release, rotation and displacement accommodation

Bridge Expansion Joints: accommodate 3D bridge deformations (longitudinal/transverse movement, angular/plan rotation, etc.), transfer vertical and horizontal braking forces, and provide deck sealing (water/dust proofing)

Example project types: long-span cable-stayed bridges, urban elevated viaducts/expressways, rail transit/railway bridges
